MGA Gallery at The Glen - Now open!

28 November 2018 to 3 March 2019

MGA has partnered with The Glen to open a permanent gallery space with specially curated exhibitions. Located within the new fashion and lifestyle precinct, the MGA Gallery offers a special space for visitors to engage with art, and will feature works from some of the country's leading photographers.

Launching the first of these exhibitions is the work of Robyn Stacey, who is fascinated by the history of the Baroque still life genre, collections and archives. Her magnificent photographs are monumental in scale and spectacular in their detailed beauty, and tease out the narratives of the collections of Australia’s colonial past.

The works at MGA Gallery at The Glen will change regularly and themed to reflect the exhibitions at MGA. The partnership provides the community with a unique experience, bringing shoppers an inspiring and engaging arts experience.

“Art and culture are important to the social fabric of Glen Waverley and central to the evolution of The New Glen. It’s an honour to partner with a local cultural institution that is so innovative and progressive, to bring a new artistic vision to The Glen. We look forward to working with MGA to provide our local community with the opportunity to engage with art in a new way,” says Barnaby Giudice, Project Director, Vicinity Centres.

MGA Director Anouska Phizacklea says, “MGA aims to enrich the lives of the local and wider community through championing Australian photography and inspiring audiences to embrace, explore and value the art form. We are delighted to be collaborating with The Glen and view this initiative as an exciting way to provide engaging cultural experiences that create a sense of belonging and a socially connected community.”

MGA Gallery at The Glen is located adjacent to the Melrose Ave store, 235 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley.
